DESCRIPTION

The key account manager is responsible for establishing business relationships with automotive accounts within Michigan and Ontario thereby maximizing sales. Because of the nature of the global automotive market frequent contact with other outside the territory is required.

DUTIES

The Key Account Manager performs the following duties:
I. Sell Uson products to customers to meet company sales targets in conjunction with other Sales & Marketing personnel.

  • Identify new customers, key decision makers, and those with authority to purchase equipment.
  • Make sales calls to demonstrate Uson products, as needed.
  • Submit activity plans and reports as required through salesforce.com CRM.
  • Identify customer needs and align product selection to align with those needs.
  • Issue quotes based upon the customer's testing requirements.
  • Follow up on sales inquiries and proposals; Report findings to management.
  • Input all required information into the CRM system through the sales process.
  • Support existing customers to ensure they continue buying Uson products.
II. Make reports about market information, obtained in the course of selling Uson products, to management staff.

  • Prepare and submit accurate sales forecast.
  • Attend sales meetings and contribute to the effectiveness of the group.
  • Submit activity plans and reports as required.
QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum qualifications for this position include the following:

  • A Bachelors degree in a technical area of study is preferred but not required.
  • Strong technical sales background, minimum 10 years of experience, preferably B2B sales of capital equipment and/or selling process control equipment or instrumentation.
  • Prefer a demonstrated track record of growing sales with a good customer care history.
  • Strong experience and relationships specifically in the automotive market.
  • Strong Computer/Technology literacy.
  • Able to Travel within Michigan and Ontario. May Require overnight travel.
