The Training and Technical Assistance Director (T/TA Director) performs under the direction of the APCA Executive Director. The T/TA Director is responsible for all aspects of the APCA Technical Assistance and Member Services Department. With the final approval of the APCA Executive Director, the Training and Technical Assistance Director is responsible for the creation of APCA Section 330 work plan. This includes APCA member needs assessments and the delivery of training and technical assistance to members in the areas of Clinical Quality Improvement, PCMH recognition and achieving Meaningful Use standards, CHC Operations & Management and Fiscal Operations, Workforce Development, Emergency Preparedness, start-up needs of organizations seeking Section 330 funding and other TA needs identified by 330 funded Community Health Centers. The Training and TA Director will supervise all T T/A staff and ensure member satisfaction with delivered services. This position is also responsible for managing and ensuring that a strong and sound evaluation plan for T/TA is established and implemented, including the assessment of whether the T/TA offerings meet members’ needs, the assessment of the change in knowledge of training participants, an assessment of customer satisfaction of participants, and the change in HRSA grant conditions of APCA members as a result of the T/TA offerings. The T/TA Director has supervisory and budgetary authority and responsibility for the department. The T/TA Director will be responsible for the implementation of appropriate policy as it relates to the planning, delivery, and evaluating of TA and the whole scope of member services covered through the T/TA Department. The T/TA Director is a member of the APCA Management Team (along with the Executive Director, the Finance Director, and the Government Affairs Director) and will participate in regular management team meetings.
