Tasks Engineer: *Perform engineering analysis for automotive products. This includes both physical and failure analysis *Work with the design engineering teamto co-develop electronic and mechanical hardware. *Obtain practical knowledge of the application, use, and failure of materials. *Design experimental tests to establish the reliability for the identified design elements. *Clarify product application boundary conditions with the customer. *Develop validation requirements and appropriate inspection criteria based on the OEM vehicle data, product boundary conditions, and statistically derived testing parameters. *Modify aging models and equation sets for simulation models. *Support Simultaneous Engineering-, FMEA- and DRBFM-teams. *Work with the test equipment development team, with respect to test loads and test sequences. *Review data from the Validation, Simulation and Reliability engineering teams, with respect to Engineering requirements. *Understand the materials aging and materials defects, applicable to validation testing of electronic modules.

Requirements Minimum
*BS in materials science, applied physics, mechanics, or mechanical engineering.
*1 - 7 years of practical hands-on mechanical and/or electrical product experience (Materials lab, machine shop, tear-down analysis, etc.).
*Strong communication skills with both internal and external customers.
*Strong presentation skills in meetings with both OEM and Bosch upper management.
*MS office suite (i.e Excel, Word and PowerPoint) with strong multi-tasking capability.
*Masters in materials science, applied physics, mechanics, or mechanical engineering.
*Understanding of ageing equations and how they relate to mechanical simulation, physical testing and material analysis techniques.
*Knowledge in Statistically based testing and analysis (DOE).
