Develops and implements long-term supply chain strategies and networks that address capacity issues, production location decisions, etc. in support of business growth. Supports business execution of new programs and initiatives that include promotional activities, forecast and coordination for key events, new product launches, and network redesigns.
Monitors key performance indicators, analyzes cost-to-serve performance data, and coordinates cross-functional work teams to increase effectiveness of supply chain initiatives.
Works closely with the customers, Global Supply Chain & operations to ensure that customer demand are schedule properly based on existing capacities & supplier lead times.
Schedules production to maximize fill rates, productivity, minimize thru-put time, and maximize inventory turns and efficiency.
Analyzes and schedules production activities to support forecast, target inventories, and multiple plant production activities.
Analyzes material and capacity constraints and develops alternative schedules to meet objectives.
Manages, analyzes, plans and schedules raw material activities to support forecast and target inventories, and procure material in accordance with MRP’
Responsible for the Component Shortages analysis, materials expediting and proper communications to the Buyer Planners.
Responsible for work in process inventory control inventory control and accuracy.
Manages documents and ensures cycle count activity within the raw materials area, lead physical inventory with Cost Accountant.
Resolves discrepant product, price or quality issues with customers and/or accounts payable.
Performs planning activities in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
Responsible for inventory transactions on manufacturing execution systems (MES)
Maintains and updates material related systems in a timely and accurate fashion.
Works with engineers and supervisors on ECO implementations and First Article Inspections
Develops implements and maintains policies, procedures and material control systems.
Supports special projects, and studies related to materials planning procedures and inventory control.
Provides Inventory Handling training as required.
Follows U.S. Customs Regulations.
Responsible for ensuring accuracy, verification and processing of all documentation and system transactions associated with all material movements.
Reports deficiencies that could adversely affect customer service.
Performs other position duties as assigned.
Reports any observed or informed process and/or product non-conformities to the Supervisor for action and resolution.
Reports any complaint regarding a Medtronic product to the Supervisor.
Complies with all the requirements in the operational procedures at the area of responsibility in order to meet the requirements of all applicable Quality System Regulations (e.g.:
FDA Part 820 Quality System Regulation, ISO 13485 Quality Standard, R-PAL (Japanese QSR’s).
Acknowledge and maintain commitment with the EHS Policy.
Participate in the development of EHS improvement projects.
Participate actively in the EHS programs to achieve the objectives and targets defined for the area.
Educational: Business Administration, Engineering or related field
Experience: Senior Level: 5+ Years with Bachelors or 3+ Years with Masters
Exposure to supply chain, planning, inventory control and manufacturing environment
Quality and Results Oriented
Fluency speaking and writing in English and Spanish
