Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a talented, self-directed Online Advertising/Marketing Manager to generate global awareness and adoption of AWS’s cloud computing platform, services and solutions. This is a unique opportunity to play a key leadership role in an exciting, fast growing business.

The ideal candidate has a successful track record driving online marketing campaigns, an unbridled passion for technology, and an entrepreneurial spirit. Duties will include building and implementing online display advertising, paid and organic search activities (SEM, SEO), online sponsorships, content syndication, lead generation, and more. This key team member will also be responsible for copywriting and building compelling ad copy and landing pages with a strong call to action.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record supporting cross functional teams to identify goals and build effective marketing strategies.

Job Responsibilities

Successfully drive awareness, adoption, and usage of AWS through effective online programs including adverting campaigns, global awareness programs, lead generation, promotions, and more.

Effectively execute online ad campaigns from beginning to end, including campaign planning, audience targeting, messaging, and reporting.

Work with external vendors and internal stakeholders to identify advertising opportunities and deliver results.

Adapt messaging into compelling and effective copy that fits the appropriate audience and marketing vehicle while maintaining the company’s brand and voice.

Build comprehensive reports that measures ROI using internal and external analytics tools; analyze the effectiveness of campaigns, modify campaigns based on conclusions (e.g., optimize campaigns using A/B and multi-variate testing), and clearly articulate results to key stakeholders.

Basic Qualifications

6+ years of relevant work experience in marketing. Experience in B2B, high-tech products/services preferred.

Bachelor’s Degree in business, marketing and/or relevant field of study.

Expert knowledge of search engine optimization, social media networks, and ad networks.

Proven experience working with industry tools and analytics packages, such as Google Adwords, BI and analytics packages, and content management systems (CMS).

Skilled negotiator with proven experience finding creative ways to do more with less, and a track record staying on budget.

Superior oral and written communication skills with an innate attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

Accomplished range of skills from high level strategic thinking to creative and detailed execution.

Ability to manage time and multiple priorities with a variety of internal and external stakeholders

Ability to present ideas to various levels of an organization to explain and gain support for initiatives

The demonstrated ability to work independently and autonomously.

Knowledge of SQL is a plus.
