This individual is responsible for developing a statewide marketing plan for the Iowa Advanced Manufacturing (I-AM) Consortium, which is funded through a U.S. Department of Labor Trade Adjustment Assistance Community College Career Training ( TAACCT ) grant. Also responsible for coordinating regional marketing efforts. This individual will serve as the primary contact with the workforce system and employers involved in the grant project.
Plan, direct, and execute a statewide marketing plan for the I-AM consortium, including logistics, budgeting, scheduling, advertising, and promotion. Assist in identification of outreach and recruitment opportunities.
Development of program recruitment materials, including print, radio, television, and other media; negotiate advertising contracts; ensure that publications are produced in a timely and accurate manner by working closely with the DMACC Marketing Department.
Collaborate with consortium colleges, the Iowa Association of Business & Industry, the workforce system, employers, and other community organizations to develop a comprehensive employment and career website for the advanced manufacturing sector.
Serve as a point of contact for Iowa employers and members of the workforce system. Work with outside organizations on development of a recruitment and referral process.
Coordinate and assist with regional marketing plans at each of the individual consortium colleges and head up development and implementation of the DMACC marketing plan for the TAACCCT project. Ensure consistency of message across all consortium colleges.
Coordinate TAACCCT recruitment events and informational sessions as needed.

Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or related area. Three years of experience in marketing or a related field. Demonstrated knowledge in the production and placement of print and broadcast media. Demonstrated proficiency in marketing consulting, event planning, and logistics. Experience developing and launching websites.Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to plan, organize, and manage time. A demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals coming from diverse backgrounds. Knowledge of current software applications relevant to the position.
Master’s degree. Marketing experience related to manufacturing or other businesses. Community college experience.
