The person in this position will coordinate “Safety Sense”, the occupational injury program for Good Shepherd Health System employees, manages Workers’ Compensation claims from previous years as a “subscriber” to the Texas Worker’s Compensation Act and collaborate with insurance carrier and TPA to maximize program effectiveness.
Education/Training: High school diploma; Bachelor’s degree preferred. Must be literate and functional in personal computer programs (Microsoft Office Suite) and PC based statistical analysis.
License, Certification: None required. Certification as Healthcare Environmental Manager preferred.
Experience: Requires a minimum of five years experience in medical case management, safety officer, Worker’s Compensation management, industrial leadership or a combination of the above. An additional two years experience with ergonomic analysis and management preferred.
