The Director of Freshmen and International Admissions oversees outreach, recruitment, scholarship and admissions efforts of freshman and international applicants, to include marketing and communication, Welcome Center, alumni relations, scholarships and territory management within the state, nationally and internationally. The Director is responsible for the expansion of recruitment efforts into key international and out of state markets designed to meet enrollment goals.
The Director leads a team focused on outreach, recruitment and scholarships for freshman students including hiring, training, supervision, and mentoring. The Director oversees international outreach and recruitment efforts, as well as credential evaluation of international freshman, transfer and graduate students. The Director also oversees budget for outreach and recruitment area of the Admissions office as well as freshmen scholarships including approving expenditures, developing budgetary projections, and monitoring balances. In conjunction with the Director of Admissions Operations direct budget management, purchasing, and personnel management area of the office.
Reporting directly to the Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management, the Director of Freshmen and International Admissions is responsible for executing the University’s enrollment plan. The Director works closely with the Director of Admissions Operations, Assistant Vice President for Enrollment Management/University Registrar and the Director of Student Financial Affairs, as well as other internal and external constituencies, to develop and implement recruitment strategies, coordinate communication plans, and implement innovative initiatives that support the University’s mission of recruiting, retaining and graduating the top students in the state, region, nation and world.
Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and six years of appropriate experience or a bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and eight years of appropriate experience.
