Major Duties and Responsibilities:
TWO POSITIONS AVAILABLE - OPEN TO EXTERNAL CANDIDATES
Responsible for customer contact and the execution of residential high bill inspections. Manages all work performed through Service Suite 8 (SS8) software applications. Analyzes complex accounts, evaluates field situations, and makes decisions for resolution. Must have the ability to apply troubleshooting techniques to equipment and work processes.
- Working Title: High Bill Inspector
Monitors service request received through software application. Executes and completes work with detailed information entered
- Executes and closes all service orders through SS8 software application
- Investigates service request scheduled and enters pertinent data
- Responsible for customer contact and updating accounts with results
- Performs tests on water meter and electronic transmitter and other necessary devices to ensure accuracy of operation
Ensures that equipment is working properly. Reports malfunctioning tools and /or equipment for repair and maintenance
Uses handheld computers and laptops to analyze, interrogate, correct, and retrieve data
Reports connectivity issues to appropriate personnel. Must be able to convey technical and functional information clearly and concisely
Requires high school graduation/GED preferably supplemented with a customer service background and computer experience; excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to work well with others in a team environment; ability to interact courteously and effectively with the public; ability to plan, prioritize and organize work and complete assignments with minimal supervision. Requires a good driving record and a valid driver's license. Final candidate subject to drug screen and criminal background check.
