Manages the loan processing activities for Community Banking. Develops or participates in the development and implementation of policies and procedures relating to application processing, closing processes, training, pricing, product design, compliance, administration of the Loan Origination Systems and overall loan strategy. Is responsible for timely resolution of administrative processing issues in order to meet service level standards. Ensures procedures, regulations and guidelines are followed and they are well documented, efficient and easily understood. Maintains a high level of regulatory loan compliance knowledge and works closely with Business Unit Compliance Officers and Central Compliance to ensure overall regulatory compliance for the business unit at all times. Follows all Bank policies and procedures and completes all required or job-specific training. Actively learns, demonstrates, and fosters the Umpqua corporate culture in all actions and words. Takes personal initiative and is a positive example for others to emulate. Embraces our vision to become "The World's Greatest Bank."

Receives work assignments with some specific instructions. Directs subordinates to achieve assignments using established guidelines, procedures and policies. Interacts daily with subordinates and/or functional peer groups as well as Executive Management. Interaction normally involves exchange or presentation of factual information and will call for presentation of work flow and process improvements on an ongoing basis. Provides immediate supervision to a unit or group of associates, assigning tasks and checking work at frequent intervals. Generally supervises semi-skilled non-exempt associates. Requires a bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience. Previous customer service, loan servicing and loan production experience.

Work involves sitting, occasional walking, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
Requires close visual acuity.
Normal office environment.
Occasional travel.
