The National Center for STEM Elementary Education at St. Catherine University invites applicants for adjunct faculty positions to teach relevant engineering concepts and practices in our Graduate STEM Certificate program.
Responsibilities: Co-teaching with Education faculty at a number of different schools in the Graduate STEM Certificate program. Students of this course are primarily elementary and middle school teachers with little or no previous engineering knowledge or experience. Skills required will include hands-on, context driven and project based approaches with students in engaging ways.
Requirements: Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering along with project management and consulting experience and a minimum of 3 years of work in the engineering profession.
Preferences: Experience in instructing college level learners particularly women; interest in promoting women’s knowledge in STEM areas with an emphasis on engineering; knowledge across multiple engineering topics to include technical drawing, structures, materials, machines, mechanisms, pneumatics, hydraulics and electronics.
