The data architect analyst has overall responsibility for data architecture and design for procurement data analysis. This includes responsibility for data warehouse design and providing technical direction to data stewards, data analysts, business analysts, ETL developers and database administrators.This role will be responsible for a deep understanding of procurement data including the operational definitions of the data fields as well as ETL processes for loading the data in the Enterprise Information Management (EIM) system.
The data architect analyst is responsible for understanding where data comes from, and how to structure it in such a way that it is readily consumable, regardless of it's source system (system independent). This role needs to be able to have an end-to-end vision, and to see how a logical design will translate into one or more physical Databases, and how the Data will flow through the successive Stages involved. He (or she) will need to be able to address issues of Data Migration(Validation, Clean-up and Mapping), and will need to understand the importance of Data Dictionaries.
The data architect analyst is also responsible for the quality assurance of all architecture and design deliverables. This role will provide support for data universe through development, testing, and migration while maintaining data integrity. This role will also assist with identification and resolution of data visibility and accuracy issues.
- Bachelor's degree in IT or related field
- Expert knowledge of SAP Business Objects Web Intelligence tool including establishment of data universe and creation of reports (Preferably version 4.0)
Working knowledge of relational database design and development.
- At least 2 years of experience writing code in PC SAS to perform data analysis
