The Computer Operations Supervisor directs the work activities of the Computer Operators and Schedulers. The position is accountable for the day-to-day functions, production processes and systems in the data center for a particular shift to ensure accurate system performance monitoring and process completion for systems and services. Key Responsibilities Supervise computer operations support staff in a 7 day a week multi-platform environment including planning and managing shift schedulers; and ensuring staff receives proper training Task, delegate and monitor shift operations related to performing day-to-day operational activities. Example: Monitoring of console activity, responding to system alerts and scheduling of production processes in a multi-platform environment.

Supervise activities relating to all hardware vendor activities in the Computer Room. Insure hardware failures are repaired in a timely manner in order to minimize outages. Supervise production scheduling processes and related sub-system activities to ensure Business Partner service level commitments are achieved. Ensure team members respond to production failures, escalating where necessary, in order to resolve in a timely manner.

Performance in these duties should result in achieving system and service availability goals. Requirements Associate’s degree. Bachelor's Degree in related field helpful, but not required. Five years of experience in IT Operations/Data Center environment Proven ability to supervise, guide and effectively direct the work of others, and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, other employees, and supervisory staff.

Proven ability to supervise the operation of computers, networks and related equipment. Strong customer service skills required and working knowledge of ITIL/Service Management processes such as incident, problem and change management Strong working knowledge of P.C. software IE: MS Office, other Ability to work 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift, with varying days of the week Proven ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures. Proven ability to identify and manage routine and complex problems.
