Colgate-Palmolive invites applications for the position of Associate IT Infrastructure Development Analyst for the Global Information Technology (GIT) organization. This candidate will join the Global Infrastructure Development team which is responsible for investigating new technology to be implemented into Colgate’s IT infrastructure and creating project plans and documentation for deployment & support. This role entails coordinating and researching new technology developments related to IT infrastructure, creating project plans to execute this technology, as well as, providing expertise for escalated issues with current systems and tools related to the performance of Colgate’s global infrastructure.
        Responsibilities include: Participate in projects, researching and identifying new technologies relevant to our business operations and making recommendations to enhance operational effectiveness and develop new standards for Colgate’s infrastructure Work with new technology vendors to identify possible solutions Utilize technical knowledge to quickly resolve business critical technology issues escalated by others Ensure alignment of technology recommendations and project plans to approved global information technology (GIT) standards, policies and procedures Grasp technical concepts quickly and apply learnings based on global standards and current research techniques Perform administration activities and ensure compliance with maintenance policies and security requirements Identify issues and create documentation to share with others to achieve speedy resolution for future occurrences Create documentation to ensure proper turn over to the support organization after implementation Maintain and expand current technical expertise including new industry trends, Colgate strategic partnerships, and self-study Qualifications Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or like major Two years of related IT work experience Knowledge of hardware and software installation Ability to troubleshoot server / network issues Basic project management skills Required Competencies: Business Partnership / Relationship Management Establishes trust and credibility by engaging in open and candid communication with business partners Tailors technical language to the level of technical understanding of the user Influence / Negotiation Works to understand the position and concerns of others Demonstrates a clear drive for achieving a win-win solution Planning / Priority Setting Sets realistic milestones and actionable plans to support successful project achievement Monitors progress and adapts plans according to changes in circumstances Teamwork and Collaboration Works effectively with people in other departments, functions and regions Ability to work effectively as a member of a local, regional or global team Technical Expertise - Knowledge of the following technologies: Office 2010 LAN/WAN including Wireless and Printing Antivirus software End user devices (PC’s, Smart Phones, Tablets) Windows 7 Knowledge Sharing and Acquisition Seeks out learning opportunities Willingly transfers technical, business and general knowledge and expertise to others Maintaining Standards and Compliance Champions GIT standards with internal and external business partners Explains rationale for adhering to standards to business partners Excellent Communication skills Communicates effectively, both written and verbal Project Management Has contributed or participated in small or large project
