VOLUNTEERS SUPERVISOR: This position supervises the day to day operation of the Volunteer Resources Department at a designated Trihealth hospital site or Hospice facility. (At Bethesda North this position also includes oversight of the North Lobby Reception Desk, and the Bethesda North Gift Shop Coordinator/paid clerks.) Volunteer Supervisor is responsible for all volunteer recruitment which includes: newspapers, speaking engagements, volunteer fairs at schools, colleges, and corporations as well as recruitment for blood drives and other community assignments. Supervisor takes an active role in interviewing, screening, placement, training and counseling of new and encumbent volunteers each year. The Volunteer Supervisor will work with hospital/hospice staff to development new volunteer positions to provide skilled volunteer staff to assist paid staff in providing excellent care to our customers. Also assists with developing and implementing budgets for Volunteer Resources and other assigned areas. The Volunteer Supervisor reports to the Service Excellence Manager at the assigned Trihealth Hospital facility or the director at a Trihealth Hospice facility.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION: High School Degree Other Certification in Volunteer Administration preferrred.
EXPERIENCE: 3-4 years in a related field
SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: Knowledge of volunteer management in a healthcare setting.
