The Central Communications Center Technician manages a telephone console and ambulance radio in order to answer, screen, and collect pre-hospital calls to the Emergency Department in a courteous and professional manner. Is responsible for collecting pertinent information and disseminating to appropriate personnel for management of incoming pre-hospital patients.


Minimum Education

High school diploma or equivalent, plus successful completion of EMT Basic program, Paramedic program, or graduate of LPN program

Minimum Experience
Two years in emergency medical practice or comparable experience in pre-hospital or emergency department setting

Required Certification/Registration
Specialized training as Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic education, or graduate of LPN program
