This business unit enhances competitive advantage, efficiency, innovation, quality and consistency.Position Purpose:This position will manage all regulatory and quality aspects of the Land O'Lakes Eastern Region member milk supply to ensure compliance for regulatory agencies, haulers, and customers. This includes such items as the Farm Inspection Program, maintaining a competitive member quality premium program, disseminate data collected to the team, member milk testing programs, etc. This position will also be responsible for communicating information to the members, haulers and customers related to those programs.
This position will be responsible for directing the field staff to deliver these compliance programs, communicate the information and services to the members and will be the regional liaison between the regulatory agencies.Required (Basic) Experience &Education:Bachelor of Science in Dairy or Food Science or equivalent and knowledge and experience in the dairy industry particularly milk production and milk quality regulations plus 5 years of experience.Required Competencies & Other Skills:Knowledge of the dairy industry with a proficiency in quality milk production. Full understanding of the Pasteurized Milk Ordinance, dairy farm regulatory inspection, and US public health dairy inspection.
