Provides maintenance support to the hospital by performing routine maintenance, service and/or repairs on electrical and/or mechanical equipment.
Certifications not required for position.
However, Electrical, plumbing and/or HVAC, and High-pressure Boiler certification is preferred.
HS graduate with a minimum of 2 years of commercially related maintenance environment;
must have specific work experience with boiler and HVAC maintenance.
Must be knowledgeable in the safe and proper use and operation of general maintenance equipment, power tools and hand tools;
Must have strong mechanical skills;
Effective communication skills--both oral and written; Able to enter data into work order management system; able to work with others within a team to ensure proper maintenance of facility; Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; Able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Hours of work:
Shift assignments include 8-hour shifts, weekdays with on-call rotation nights and weekends as scheduled.
