Our dynamic team strives to enhance the customers shopping experience, and is driven not to be the biggest, but the BEST.As a Fitness Specialist, your primary focus will be to drive sales for our high–end exercise and fitness lines with an inside sales approach.

The compensation plan includes an hourly wage plus commission, along with above average earning potential.Responsibilities: Assigned to a designated store location and will be expected to do what is required to generate new business to achieve the minimum weekly sales goal Cultivate leads; seek out new business opportunities by developing a referral network that can generate leadsEstablish community contacts with personal fitness trainers, or corporate organizationsInitiate phone calls and in–person visits to weight loss organizations, community programs, schools and health fitness organizationsSeek involvement with sports organizations to develop networked leadsFollow up on all leads and referrals resulting from networking as well as walk–in businessDetermines make, type, and quality of products that will best match customer‚s needsDemonstrates an expert level knowledge about all fitness equipment functions and features to generate salesEstablish and maintain both current and potential customer relationshipsMaintain customer record logs and lists either electronically (in email client), or other methodPrepare a variety of status reports, including daily call sheet documenting, business contacts and sales goal adherencesCommunicate new product and service opportunities, special developments, information, or feedback gathered through networking activity to appropriate company staffMaintain sales materials, product brochures, and business card suppliesUses company sponsored programs (Action Pass, Enterprise Selling, Extended Service Plans, Sport Chalet Visa, and Delivery & Assembly) as enticements for sales opportunitiesCommunicates with other locations to help facilitate needed partnerships between stores to solve any issues due to stock positionExhibits personal flexibility to ensure attendance for all key business events relative to departmentProvide training on basic product knowledge and selling skills to other store staff membersMaintain open lines of communication with vendors, buyers, and corporate trainingMaintain accurate and organized filesOther duties as assigned Ability to influence and persuade othersProduct knowledge of the category is needed in addition to strong interpersonal communication and selling abilitiesGoal oriented with an entrepreneurial attitudeMinimum 2 years of successful experience in a competitive sales environment, preferably in the fitness industryHighly motivated self–starter with the ability to work well with minimal supervisionPassionate about fitness and promoting a healthy lifestyleAble to maintain a flexible schedule with good time management skillsAbility to accurately maintain accounting of sales, goals and time accountabilitiesVisibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the publicSport Chalet is a drug–free, equal opportunity employer.
