POSITION PROFILE

The Technology Service Technician I services and repairs a variety of Company products and systems at customer locations, usually within a specific geographic area. A Technology Service Technician is capable of handling a full workload in a standalone and / or networked environment. In this role you will actively drive revenue-generating opportunities through supply leads, contract sales, network support contract leads, equipment, and print assessment leads. In addition, you will perform basic connected installations, set up IP addresses, download printer drivers and provide customer training on printing functions.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Achieve expected productivity levels associated with assigned workload and level of experience
  • Manage territory, inventory, and customer relationships
  • Demonstrate excellent technical and customer relation skills
  • Perform a full range of servicing and repair service procedures including diagnostics, installation, removal and retrofits on assigned equipment
  • Perform troubleshooting and repairs or replace equipment components as necessary on Black and White (B&W), color, and multifunctional devices
  • Demonstrate required digital competencies associated with assigned products and level of assignment
  • Complete technical training on new equipment as assigned
  • Effectively execute all required territory management and call handling procedures
  • Work closely with sales partners to maximize equipment leads and upgrade opportunities
  • Maintain and manage own parts inventory with a high degree of accuracy
  • Interact with external customers for the purpose of determining service needs on equipment and ensuring overall high level of customer satisfaction with the service performed
  • Provide technical assistance to less experienced technicians
  • Exhibit professional appearance and demeanor at all times
  • Maintain productive, professional relationship with all Company personnel
  • Responsible for maintaining a "car stock" inventory

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience and Certifications)
  • Requires journeyman-level technical knowledge typically gained through completion of technical school and two plus years of related experience
  • Valid State driver's license and minimum level of auto insurance coverage, per Company policy, for position entails extensive use of personal car while on company business
  • Strong working knowledge of electro-mechanical devices, electrical circuitry, electronics, and varying levels of digital competency
  • Possess a methodical approach to resolving problems / troubleshooting
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal communications skills with excellent customer service skills, including the ability to follow-up to ensure closure of issues
  • Ability to read and comprehend written technical information in the form of technical manuals, parts books, and relevant publications
  • Working knowledge of and application of PC's and associated software applications
