Elsevier is currently seeking an Index QC and Thesaurus Editor in our Philadelphia Office. The purpose of the job is: To deliver quality of indexing to diverse databases of the Elsevier Bibliographic Databases (EBD). To evaluate the quality of new and existing products. To develop indexing guidelines for new features and databases. To maintain existing thesauri and associated documentation and develop new thesauri.

It is an advantage to have: Experience in text mining, semantic technologies and content enhancement tools Working experience with standard medical vocabularies, search engines, thesauri, and related entities Familiarity with basic functionality of automated tagging software
