Coordinate and prioritize new business opportunities, as assigned, across ACT solutions and markets. Represent ACT at the highest levels in secondary, postsecondary and state markets. Typical work related activities include:
Identify, cultivate and capture new business development opportunities, focusing on those opportunities as assigned by the Regional Manager.
In consultation with the Regional Director, Client Outreach and the Regional Manager, regularly rank and prioritize opportunities.
Serve as a primary client-facing staff member for the region.
Represent ACT at various levels in secondary and postsecondary markets as well as at the state level, developing relationships as appropriate.
Maintain a peripheral visibility on captured opportunities, re-engaging as necessary for relationship maintenance or up sell/cross-sell/renewal.
Develop and maintain a working knowledge of all ACT solutions and services, including all training delivered via Program Solutions.
Communicate client requests and requirements through channels as appropriate.
Stay abreast of legislative and executive action within the region.
Develop a working knowledge of ACT competitors and pass along competitive intel as appropriate.
Engage in the Client Outreach functional line e.g. communications/events/training.
Follow protocol regarding the sales process and stages.
Identify and communicate needs for sales support materials.
Execute tasks related to the ACT State Organizations as assigned by the Regional Manager.
Assist in preparing recommendations for program volume objectives.
Regularly exercise discretion and independent, good judgment in making work-related decisions.
Communicate effectively and efficiently with ACT personnel and ACT clients.
Demonstrate a commitment to innovation and organizational sustainability.
Maintain confidentiality of all ACT and client information.
Bachelor’s degree; and 3-5 years of experience in educational sales, educational programs, consulting or related activity; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Good organizational, communication, and computer skills. Finalist(s) for this position will be subject to a pre-employment criminal background check as a condition of employment.
