As a member of the RideCharge Technical Operations team your day to day job will be challenging, but never dull. Our Technical Operations team is responsible for the availability and integrity of our platforms across the entire company infrastructure. When we are not making sure that Taxi/Sedan Magic lives up to its reputation as the #1 Booking, Tracking, and Payment app, you might find us enjoying a game of ping pong, hosting the local DevOps Meetup in our new office overlooking the Potomac, or hanging out in the Old Town neighborhood of Alexandria, VA.

About The Role
Our team is responsible for business continuity and high availability solutions company-wide. This team ’s scope encompasses maintaining data center infrastructure, managing local and wide-area networks, and addressing the availability and performance of our applications. As a part of the team you will be tasked with identifying and solving complex technical problems and planning for capacity requirements.

2+ years of systems administration experience for a growth stage startup or medium sized enterprise.
Bachelors of Science in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
Strong understanding of at least one major programming language.
Readability in at least two additional programming languages.
Fluency in at least one major scripting language.
Deep knowledge of web operations and the software engineering lifecycle.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
A dedication to being awesome and working in a team with other talented engineers.

Preferred Experience
Packaging tools such as BSD ports trees, RPM, Apt, and fpm.
Continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, Vagrant, and Rundeck.
Continuous delivery methodology.
Security compliance certifications such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, or SAS 70.
Data center operations including power, cooling, and cost planning.
Network operations including local, wide area, and virtual private networks.
Application profiling, performance evaluation, and tuning.
Configuration management tools such as: Chef, Puppet, Cfengine.
Expert level understanding of UNIX-based operating systems.
Solid familiarity with relational and nonrelational database technologies.
Experience with monitoring tools such as: Nagios, Graphite, or Collectd
Comfortable with bug tracking tools such as: Jira, Bugzilla, RT, or OTRS.
