Provide students with a challenging assignment and practical on-the-job learning opportunity.
Under general supervision, performs basic tasks to aid in the on-going support of technology assets
Assist with end-user questions, problems, communication and training
Install common and standard software and hardware peripherals
Troubleshoot and resolve basic hardware and software problems.
Works primarily with technology assets including single-user and networked desktop and laptop clients; single-user and networked document printers; basic category 5 and 6 twisted pair network cabling; telephones, pagers and PDAs; common desktop image software; other technology assets used by the business unit.
May participate in Lean Six Sigma projects.
A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred
Strong preference will be given to computer science, computer information systems, or computer engineering majors.
Preferences will be given to students in their Junior or Senior year.
All candidates must be proficient in the use of a personal computer
Candidates must be well rounded with good technical skills and strong initiative.
Candidates should demonstrate the following competencies on their resume and during interviews: Technical skills, communication skills, leadership experience, ability to work well with others, problem solving abilities, and analytical skills.
