As a key enabler of long term growth for Accenture, Accenture Software (ASW) has the charter to identify, launch, incubate and scale vertical software business opportunities in partnership with Operation Groups, Industries, Growth Platforms or Geographic strategy. Our Octagon resources can expect to: Receive ongoing training to build and extend professional, technical and management skills in all areas Enjoy our comprehensive and generous benefits package Role: The Software Business Analyst creates the specifications and features of a future release, serves as a liaison to the business community and participates in user and task analysis to maintain the business community's perspective. The Software Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing and designing enhancements to the application or new business requirements. They identify and define detailed product functional requirements and use cases, set up and maintain the internal tracking reports/matrix as applicable. They assess current capabilities and identify high level market requirements and work with the release manager, architects, and other team members to define detailed requirements, metrics and performance goals for the Product. They assist in translating requirements and use cases into test conditions and expected results for product and user acceptance testing and participate in transitioning the requirements and use cases to the designers, ensuring a clear and complete understanding of the requirements. Software Business Analysts may specialize in Product Management, Software Engineering and/or Software Client Services. Qualifications Basic Qualifications BS degree in Computer Science or related degree or BA in Communications Minimum of 6 years of Pharmaceutical or Biotech experience, especially in Clinical R&D 50% travel required Preferred Qualifications Minimum of 4 years of consulting experience preferred Must have submissions related experience Experience or exposure to industry leading tools in the following areas: Content Management, Publishing, Submission Management, eCTD Understand the business processes technology is designed to support. Understand or have exposure to Process Management, Resource Management & Issue Management concepts Ability to learn ticket and support tracking systems to track all problems and issues for our customers Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems Professional Skill Requirements Strong customer focus with excellent written and verbal communication skills Maintain full understanding of Accenture Life Sciences (Technology) product capabilities Adhere to Octagon implementation and software configuration standards Ability to work in a team environment, as well as independently Ability to work with little supervision to complete project; possessing initiative to address issues and opportunities Ability to serve as helpful, tactful, professional company representative to a customer or partner under both good and adverse circumstances Self-Motivated Applicants for employment in the U.S. must possess work authorization which does not require now or in the future sponsorship by the employer for a visa.
