Summary of Duties
Plans, directs, leads and monitors the overall
operations of activities of the Rehabilitative Services
outpatient and inpatient departments, to assure that a
standard of excellence for patient and customer care
commensurate with the goals and philosophy of the
organization is provided to patients and customers.
Provides leadership and assists in developing and
implementing new programs, policies and procedures for
the businesses of Tuality Healthcare. Ensures compliance
with regulatory requirements, and that organizational
activities are integrated throughout the organization.

Job Requirements:
HIRING COMPETENCIES - skills & experiences the applicant
should bring to the job.
a) Education: Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy,
Occupational Therapy or Speech Pathology required
b) License: Current professional license in Physical or
Occupational Therapy.
c) Experience Directing/Supervising at least 15 or more
employees in multiple departments with varied
disciplines.
d) Minimum of 5 years of progressive management
experience in rehabilitation setting.
e) Demonstrates effective writing skills and group
presentation skills.
f) Knowledge of healthcare principles and practices.
g) Knowledge of managed care principles and practices as
well as contracting principles.
h) Knowledge of federal, state, and fiscal intermediary
regulations regarding health care.
i) Ability to creatively solve problems.
j) Knowledge and ability to utilize a personal computer
for spread sheets, data analysis, and communications
(including Internet and e-mail experience).
k) Demonstrates financial management skills including
budgeting and understanding and interpreting financial
statements.
l) Demonstrates effective communication skills - body
language, filters, listening, paraphrasing, and
questions.
m) Possesses knowledge of management principles,
leadership concepts and quality improvement.
n) Possess knowledge of Joint Commission state/federal
standards/requirements as applied to at least one of the
clinical areas of responsibility.
o) Possesses knowledge of marketing concepts and
explains how to identify markets and promote programs.
p) Demonstrates confidentiality required in dealing with
customers and coworkers.
q) Presents professional image to make good first
impression and provides excellent customer service.
