This is a professional position that will assist the Resource Coordinator at the WIPAC with administrative extramural pre-award and post-award maintenance and support. The position will manage the IceCube Maintenance & Operations (M&O) Common Fund (CF), including invoicing over twenty collaborating international institutions and providing confirmation of transfer of funds and reports on the actual use of the CF; preparing budget documentation for proposals to the National Science Foundation (NSF) and other funding agencies and submitting budgets to the Graduate School; administering budgets for the NSF-UW Cooperative Agreement for IceCube M&O and the UW research grant for IceCube data analysis, including tracking expenditures and budget commitments to ensure costs are managed within the authorized budgets; ensuring proper routing of accounting documentation including Wisper records; preparing and maintaining spreadsheets used to plan and track "In-kind Contributions" by the 30+ IceCube collaborating institutions; and preparing semi-annual updates to bilateral Memoranda of Understandings (MOUs) with each of the collaborating institutions.

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Knowledge of financial and budget principles and practices; State, Federal and nonfederal agency fiscal and administrative rules, regulations and procedures relating to grants, agreements and contracts; and general accounting practices and principles. Experience with NSF Fastlane, grants.gov, or other electronic proposal submission systems; writing budget justifications and coordinating with a wide variety of collaborating institutions and principal investigators for each proposal; and various computer software programs such as Microsoft office preferred. Independent judgment and initiative is beneficial. Well qualified candidates will have the ability to meet deadlines.
