The Database Coordinator is responsible for entering data and updating the various databases at the Telemundo Studios. The Database Coordinator will also be creating necessary elements (i.e. work orders and item tracking codes) in the inventory databases and will be assisting in the training of new users.

  • Continuously updates the inventory software for all departments (Props, Scenery, Wardrobe) and novela productions
  • Responsible for the creation of new work orders for departments (i.e. Scenery), inventory tracking for new novela productions, and I-codes for new merchandise
  • Responsible for inputting data and updating all databases for each production and department accordingly
  • Removes and eliminates broken or damaged items from the inventory database upon receipt of notification from department and/or production
  • Responsible for maintaining an updated list of image records of full sets and props to ensure continuity for productions
  • Creates brochures for each project that portrays all items that have been used and are available for use in the areas of Scenery and Props
  • Actively participates in the reconciliation of invoice data for the Props, Scenery, and Wardrobe inventory systems
  • Assists in training new users with the software application and barcode scan gun
  • Assists in the creation of user manuals for all users
  • Works under the direct supervision of the Database Supervisor and is responsible for completing any other tasks as assigned by supervisor(s)
  • Ensures that all work is done under the technical guidelines and operations procedures of Telemundo Studios’ infrastructure and adheres to EHS/OSHA regulations and procedures
  • Follows policies, applicable laws, and regulations to protect his/her own health and safety as well as that of other workers, the public, and the environment
  • Presents ideas that support EHS goals and policies to your business or EHS leader
  • Raises concerns about possible violations of EHS policies to your manager, business and EHS Leader

    Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of data entry experience
  • Exhibits thorough working knowledge in the maintenance and creation of an inventory database
  • Must be fully bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Must be able to perform job at locations in and outside work environment with varying weather conditions
  • Proficient in MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Internet Explorer, and Internet search engines

  • Must be willing to work in the greater Miami, Florida area
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must be “on call” 24 hours a day / 7 days a week
  • Must be fluent in English and Spanish (speak, read & write)
  • Must be willing to facilitate personnel requirements including late and/or last minute scheduling changes in a 24/7 production work environment.
  • Must be covered by Solutions, NBCU’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program
  • Must be available to work (whenever necessary for show production) early mornings, evenings, holidays, weekends, and natural disaster emergencies.
  • Must be willing to submit to a background investigation.
  • Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
  • Ability to work regular hours.
