The Facilities Director plans, improves and maintains Carle owned and leased facilities and equipment. Provides strategic leadership and vision for the Engineering and Environmental services department. Coordinates and manages construction and renovation projects. Manages directly or through delegation department human relations. Establishes and manages budgets and productivity targets. Provides for the development and implementation of strategic facilities initiatives. Responsible for the safety program and ensures regulatory compliance in all aspects related to facilities, construction and equipment. Develops and supports goals and objectives that reflect the goals of the Foundation. Contributes to the success of the organization by providing cost effective facility operations and energy conservation programs. Sets the tone for an atmosphere that promotes staff growth, productivity and pleasure while performing work.
Bachelor's Degree in a Facilities Management, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field required.
Master’s degree preferred.
CFM or CHFM desirable
8-12 years of Health Care Construction and Project Management experience and at least 5 years of Construction Management that includes the leadership of at least 4 supervisory staff members.
