Job Description
Wires and cables were Gore’s first products, and Gore remains a leader in the field of signal transmission. Today, Gore's cable and material solutions for electronics provide reliability in the most demanding environments. These products have been used for more than 50 years in a variety of industries, including aerospace, industrial electronics, mobile communications, and semiconductor manufacturing. We are looking for a Manufacturing Process Technician to join our Round Cable Manufacturing team in New Garden, PA.

Responsibilities include:
Driving and supporting a safe working environment
Identifying, conceptualizing, and solving complex problems (troubleshooting)
Supporting process-improvement activities
Supporting engineers with long-term solutions
Performing root-cause analysis to troubleshoot and disposition non-conforming material
Training associates on products and processes
Providing hands-on support for daily production activities
Working with engineers to develop new processes and ideas
Creating and/or improving process documents
Driving solutions for CARS/PARS, both internal and external
Monitoring process health and improving process yields
Documenting results of analysis or testing to meet applicable requirements of quality-system regulations (i.e., FDA, QSR, ISO, IPC, NASA, Gore standards), including technology notebooks or electronic databases as needed
Initiating and implementing changes to process folders, bills of material (BOMs), and routes
Supporting and driving lean manufacturing initiatives
Building, testing, and troubleshooting prototype products and processes
Facilitating development of products, processes, and tests
Performing product validations and developing reports/evaluations
Developing routes and BOMs for new-product designs
Reading and interpreting specifications and drawings and translating them into work instructions and processes
Modeling the Gore culture
Qualifications
Required Job Qualifications
History of process improvements
Strong lean manufacturing skill set
Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Technically inclined and excellent attention to detail
Proficiency in computer software such as JD Edwards EnterpriseOne, Microsoft Excel, Word, and
QSI
, and the ability to learn new applications
Familiarity with quality systems (QSI preferred)
Initiative and ability to drive to solution ("get it done" mindset)
Self-motivated
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Very good organization skills
Proven ability to work effectively within teams as well as independently
Ability to:
