The Investment Bank Finance & Business Management's goals are to ensure a sound control environment and provide financial advice to support the business strategy. The IB F&BM centralized infrastructure project team provides project management support for Investment Bank and Corporate Finance initiatives impacting a variety of systems from risk management to the general ledger which span across multiple lines of business within the IB.
The project team is responsible for executing all steps of the project life cycle (initiation, planning, business requirements, functional design, build, test planning & execution and implementation) including but not limited to the following:
Defining project scope, stakeholders, risks and issues
Drafting project plan, business requirements, test execution plan, UAT entrance & exit criteria, standardized test cases to be leveraged during UAT
Coordinate UAT (user acceptance testing) across all Investment Bank lines of business
Communicate project status to senior stakeholders
Partner with technology to ensure the design and build requirements meet business needs
Ensure control framework is not compromised by project implementations
The Project Manager will also be responsible for managing a team of business analysts to assist in project execution. The manager must provide the analysts project direction to ensure deliverables are understood and met.
Bachelor degree required
Accounting and/or Finance skills/experience a plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proven leadership skills
Experience working on large projects or leading smaller end to end projects preferred
Experience in management of critical path, issues, risks and dependencies
Proficient in Microsoft applications, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
Ability to quickly understand complex subject matter
Ability to execute tasks under aggressive targets and effectively manage to changes in plan
Ability to multi-task and prioritize issues
Ability to work independently and be self motivated
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Able to critically challenge when warranted with the goal of resolving issues
