This position will sit in our Pitney Bowes Software business unit, which provides global software solutions, data, and services to help customers gain greater competitive advantage and enhanced decision-making abilities through an array of offerings in Communications Management, Customer Analytics, and Location Intelligence. Pitney Bowes Software was created through key acquisitions of MapInfo, Group 1, and most recently Portrait Software. Pitney Bowes Software is currently seeking a Business Development Director to cultivate, manage and enhance our Business Development efforts with strategic partners. The Business Development Director will also identify, explore, qualify, and pursue partnerships with outside companies that can provide strategic advantages and opportunities. The right candidate will be an integral part of our talented team, supporting our continued growth. This position may work remotely from a home office. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Work with regional leadership to help drive superior revenue and operating performance both short and longer term
Integrations with 3rd party products
License solutions from 3rd parties as a way to enhance Pitney Bowes’s capabilities
Manage relationships with strategic partners
Special projects that require creative deal-making and implementation
Shape strategic direction for Pitney Bowes Software, America’s region as well as provide consistent metrics to improve business performance and prioritize revenue opportunities
Solve technical issues and provide solutions between partners and internal staff
Effective communication with Sales, Product Management and Engineering teams
Work with peers in Marketing, Sales and Product development to understand direction and potential impact to Partners All interested individuals must apply online. BA/BS degree required, MBA desirable
Must have 10+ years recent experience selling and consulting complex enterprise solutions and consulting services to Government and industry known systems integrators
Track record of sourcing and closing complex business partnerships
Strong interpersonal skills that encourage team cooperation, promote enthusiasm, and motivate strategic thinking
Demonstrated ability to succeed in a dynamic and fast paced environment
Strong executive communication and presentation skills
Extremely organized and highly motivated
Experience negotiating technically complex relationships
Quantitative orientation
