Duties & Responsibilities: Under general supervision performs a variety of duties relating to the juvenile offender, such as intake and probation services, supervision, counseling, case management, detention planning, and aftercare services.

Minimum Training & Experience: Completion of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university;
Three years of experience as a Juvenile Probation/Parole Specialist 1.
A passing score of 70 or higher on the Criminal Justice Exam.

NOTE: Applicants must submit proof of current test scores with application to be eligible for consideration.

Agency Specific Qualifications and/or Preferred Qualifications: Completion of a Bachelor's degree at an accredited four-year college or university, with a major in the areas of psychology, sociology, criminal justice, social work, or education.

Exam & Evaluation Information: A multiple-choice test. Test subject areas: reading, interpreting, and applying procedural instructions and information from case studies.

The State Personnel Administration Assessment Center in Atlanta is closing on April 30, 2012 . State Personnel Administration will no longer administer tests after this date.
