Will provide direction and day-to-day administration of educational and divisional activities to include administrative support to the directors of the fellowship training programs, and educational coordination between attending physicians, residents, fellows and institutional and regulatory administrative offices.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the coordination and organization of Accredited Graduate Medical Education cardiology fellowship program and subspecialty interventional and electrophysiology fellowship programs. Acts for and makes decisions in the program director's absence within prescribed limits of authority. Coordinates all program events to include but not limited to applications, interviews, banquets, educational lunches, grand rounds, and other program specific speaking engagements. Responsible for performing a variety of secretarial duties for physicians and other members of the division.
To be successful, the candidate would have sufficient knowledge of University, Federal and State HR policies and fellowship program guidelines as mandated by ACGME, ECFMG, Federal, State and University policy. Effective communication, problem solving, and decision making skills. The ability to prioritize tasks and be a team player.
Required: High School diploma, as is at least 3 to 5 years’ experience in a Medical/Academic environment, computer proficiency and customer service skills.
