Job Summary/Basic Function:
The Records Coordinator I reports to the Campus Registrar and Assistant Registrar. The Records Coordinator I is responsible for student record's processing including registration, reinstatement, withdrawals, grade changes, and in-state tuition classification as well as assisting with degree audits. These tasks should be completed in a timely and accurate manner consistent with Georgia Perimeter College policies and procedures. The Records Coordinator I will provide information and assistance to students, staff, and the public primarily through email, telephone, and front counter contacts. This position provides support to professional staff by participating in the problem resolution process for issues related to student records. These will be done in a professional and courteous manner with detail and accuracy. Position will involve evening hours during certain times.

A minimum of two (2) or more years of college admission or registrar's office experience is essential.

A minimum of a High School diploma (GED) is required. An Associate's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

Scope/ Impact

Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of University System of Georgia and Georgia Perimeter College policies and procedures. Necessary computer skills include Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, BANNER (Student Information System) and X-tender. The Records Coordinator I should have excellent interpersonal skills, possess superior organization, communication and listening skills. The Records Coordinator I should have the ability to perform complex tasks with minimal supervision.

Physical Requirements:
Position requires local travel. Ability to lift and carry files and materials. Ability to move from one office to another office on campus. Adequate vision, hearing and manual dexterity to interact with people in person, on the phone and in writing. Job takes place in normal environmental conditions.
