Category I – Routine occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens.
Physical Demands of Job:
Works primarily within the Hospital in patient care and administrative areas. Hours are variable based on needs but primarily day shift.
Essential Physical Functions
--lift, carry, push, or pull up to 100lbs., and frequently lift/carry up to 50lbs; balance, stoop, kneel, reach, handle, finger, feel, talk, hear, see.

Contact with patients/visitors under a variety of circumstances. Subject to varying and unpredictable situations. Subject to multiple interruptions.

Essential Job Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in BSN program, with two years nursing experience in the past four years. Graduate of an accredited program for WOCN or satisfactory completion of a program during first two years of employment.
Minimum of one year as WOCN preferred
Current Georgia RN License; Certification through the WOCN National Board preferred; successful completion of certification exam for WOCN every five years preferred
Must have the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care that addresses the physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and age appropriate needs of the patient population served within the department.
