Key Responsibilities Quality Assurance:
¿ Review QA project and sampling, analysis, and work plans and provide technical comments.
¿ Assess study designs, develop hypothesis testing and uncertainty analysis, and graphical and statistical data analysis (geostatistics, kriging, multivariant modeling)
¿ Responsible for implementing a comprehensive Quality System including preparing a Quality Manual, Quality Assurance Project Plans, and Standard Operating Procedures.
¿ Conducts ongoing internal technical system reviews and data audits; prepares Quality Assurance Status reports, initiates and tracks correction actions; coordinates external quality reviews and proficiency testing; and maintains quality assurance and employee training records.
¿ Also responsible for reviewing and providing technical comments on quality plans, sampling and analysis plans, and analytical methods.
¿ Preparation, tracking, and shipping of QC audit samples
¿ Development of specialized sampling procedures at hazardous waste sites
¿ Assessment of field analytical and laboratory conformational data and split sampling data for comparability.
Key Responsibilities Data Validation:
¿ Responsible for technical review of organic, inorganic, biological, dioxin, hazardous material, explosives, and other analytical data to assess data quality and completeness.
¿ Conduct QA data review of data packages and electronic deliverables on organic/inorganic data packages
¿ Prepare and submit data validation reports, and revise and correct data validation reports
¿ Perform electronic data validation tracking system tasks
¿ Produce reports summarizing statistical information of data reviews
¿ Perform statistical analyses to quantify reasons for qualification or rejection of data
M.S. degree in Chemistry and at least eight years of combined experience in all facets of laboratory analysis, including sample preparation, GC, GC-MS, ICAP, ICAP-MS, and other environmental sample analysis procedures, EPA QA/QC protocols, and data review and validation. A minimum of two years of laboratory supervisory/management experience is desired.
We required excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal, as well as the demonstrated ability to interface with various levels of management and present details of finding in meetings. You must be proficient in MS Office Word, Excel, Power Point, Visual Basic, and Access, PERL, and Structured Query Language (SQL) queries. This position requires some travel to field sites. You must be a US Citizen and be able to obtain appropriate clearance and pass a NACI background investigation.
