INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER

The Instructional Designer is responsible for providing performance training and support for improving the effectiveness of individuals, teams, departments and the organization.

Essential Job Functions:
Develop web based training, instructor-led training, job aids and assessment
Facilitate trainings for new hire and for continual training initiatives
Assess relevant training needs for the organization in consultation with department heads, including assessment methods and measurement systems
Design training strategies and design certification programs using a variety of instructional techniques
Circulate requirements and relevant information through organization as appropriate
Produce strategy and tactical plans to meet training and development needs
Maintain current knowledge in relevant fields related to training, adult learning principles, and current training and development methods and theories
Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:
Experience teaching or delivering training
Experience developing instructor-led and web based training, participant guides and job aids
Experience with various training tools, including e-learning
Familiar with the ADDIE model
Familiar with the call center environment (preferred, but not required)
Proficient in MS Office, especially PowerPoint
Possesses a high level of written and oral communication skills
Writes clearly and informatively and edits work for spelling and grammar
Possesses collaborative and interpersonal communications skills with an ability to build productive working relationships with immediate team members, other departments, and outside entities
Pays strong attention to detail; time management and organization skills
Continuously seeks to contribute and fill gaps where necessary

Required Experience:
Bachelor

's degree in human resources, instructional design/technology, business, education, behavioral or social science, or closely related field. Related work experience is acceptable in lieu of formal education. 1 to 3 years experience in the field or a related field
