Perform initial diagnostics and debugging (technical triage) of application issues on midrange systems, database platforms, and the tools that manage these platforms. Including by not limited to command and shell scripting.
Keep to a schedule, make tight deadlines, work timely and independently. The expectation is that this person will perform day to day operations keeping the system healthy
Manage a production support desk, create reports on user calls, batch issues and status, escalate when items are not addressed (this is a critical day to day task)
Create Change Requests and do necessary release approvals follow up
Implement releases by self and also with other operational teams
Timely and accurate user notifications.
Assist with report to support monthly metric reporting.
Coordinate and perform Disaster Recovery test.
Assist with gathering of sox/audit evidence.
Prioritize and engage management in situations when prioritization is a challenge
Provide the access to application as required by following standards and procedures
Lead meetings, know all parts of a meeting
Maintain and modify procedures and procedural documentation
With assistance the interpretation and application of critical security, regulitory, privacy, and compliance policies on a daily basis

2+ years of Unix scripting or development
2+ years of Usage of version control
Knowledge of midrange operating systems
2+ years of Change Management or Incident Management or Database Experience working in a Large technical environment
2-7 years of progressive responsibility

Self motivated/Self starter
Database knowledge a big plus
Understanding of technical infrastructure
Understanding of Object Oriented Programming
Understanding of scheduling tools (ie: Autosys)
Excellent business and technical communication skills
