High School Diploma or GED; College degree preferred
  • Must have Property and Casualty license or ability to obtain within one year. Must comply with all continuing education requirements including pictorials, INS, CISR or CPCU courses.
  • Requires 3-5 years sales experience
  • Must have excellent negotiation skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
  • Insurance experience preferred
  • Ability to utilize computer programs and understand functionality

    Achieve business plan goals and support the achievement of Profit Plan objectives as evidenced by new business sales. Achieve all campaign/program goals and individual sales target. Develops new business, identifies and sells to customer needs.

    • Direct accountability for New Business Goal Achievement (50%)
      • Generate New Business through internal and external sources
      • Develop and work sales process to close sales opportunities
      • Work Disciplined Sales management process toward goal achievement:
        • Participate in weekly sales execution meetings
        • Annual establishment of Business Plan
        • Quarterly review of Business Plan as a team
        • Monthly sales plan review; including but not limited to sales performance
    • Demonstrate best in class sales behaviors (30%)
      • Understand and utilize defined sales process
      • Define, Assess and improve sales competencies and skills
        • Understand and deliver needs based selling
        • Identify commitment, needs, solutions and closing
        • Deliver non negotiable for the sales cycle
      • Understand objections and process to overcome
      • Seek feedback and coaching to performance improvement
    • Contributing member of Personal Lines Insurance team (20%)
      • Demonstrate and support the We Are First Niagara Experience
      • Understand and support agency initiative
      • Support and lead ad hoc projects as necessary
      • Work as a member of the PI team
      • Represent Personal Insurance across FNFG as requested by leadership
    • Must adhere to pertinent laws, regulations, First Niagara's Compliance Policy and external compliance requirements
