Mon - Fri, 4 AM - noon, with weekend and holiday rotation, and extended hours during high volume times.

Position Summary

The Supervisor, Custodial Services is responsible for supervising custodial staff so that buildings and assets of the University are clean and well maintained. Ensures high quality fulfillment of cleaning tasks by assigning appropriate number of staff needed, ensuring availability of proper equipment, training staff in appropriate methods, evaluating staff performance, soliciting customer feedback for use in appraising staff and coordinating other tasks. Performs, in a professional and timely manner, a variety of administrative functions in support of the overall goals of the Custodial Division, including but not limited to: submission of payroll forms, maintenance of key control system, maintenance of attendance records, management of service orders, administration of collective bargaining agreement between the University and USAWRI. APPLICANTS PLEASE NOTE: The regularly scheduled hours for this position are from 4:00 AM - Noon, Monday - Friday.

Job Qualifications

Associates Degree or equivalent education and experience, 2 to 4 years related experience, 2 years supervising union employees preferred. Experience in dealing with personnel matters. Excellent customer service skills, including good verbal and written communications, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment. Must be able to work required weekend and holiday rotation. Computer literacy (email, word processing, spreadsheets, time & attendance, and work order scheduling). Demonstrated ability to multitask and adapt to shifting priorities.
