This is a temporary position with Raytheon.
Job Description:
Design, test and validate new and existing database driven software and maintain existing software.
Create and maintain PERL scripts to convert non-standard test data (excel, access, text, etc) to a standard ASCII format. Create and maintain web based analysis tools that utilize collected test data.
Work with customers to ensure their data is used to improve factory test yields.
Become the expert on program test data, supporting all customers as required in a fast-paced, multi-tasking work environment.
Act as liaison between missile programs at RMS and Systems Test to provide imaginative, thorough, and practicable solutions to a wide range of difficult technical problems.
Assist coworkers with network support as required.
Required Skills:
Complete understanding of at least one programming language (e.g. C/C++, Java, PERL)
Experience developing PERL for both command line tools and HTML generation.
Strong understanding of Transact SQL or ANSI standard SQL.
Database driven web application development experience.
Strong understanding of relational database design & software development (SQL, ODBC) on Microsoft SQL Server platform.
Independent self-starter able to develop solutions under only general direction.
Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced production environment.
Strong written, interpersonal and communication skills.
Clearance Requirement: Abilty to obtain DoD Secret Clearance.
Desired Skills:
Strong background in lean manufacturing, Six Sigma and statistical process control.
jQuery or similar JavaScript based framework.
Technical background in LANs, network protocols, etc.
Microsoft operating system skills.
Excellent troubleshooting ability and independent problem solving ability of hardware/software issues.
Required Education and experience (including Major): 4 years in software development
and a B.S. Computer Science or Software Engineering
