4 year BA/BS degree required from an accredited institution
Must possess a combined minimum of 5 years sales experience.
Requires a valid driver’s license.
Knowledge of federal institutional market, products, therapeutic areas, business, and clinical environment preferred. Strong record of high performance and consistent results. Strong knowledge of federal health segment preferred. Strong oral and written communication skills, presentation and influencing skills.
Demonstrated knowledge of promotional objectives, strategies, and tactics.
Knowledge of the changing selling environment (market place selling, payer market segments) and the related regulatory and legislative requirements in the federal segment
Ability to drive business results and identify new opportunities and strategies through strategic thinking and business planning.
Understanding of broad GSK organization and strategic objectives.
Mastery of selling skills including Marketplace and a strong understanding of account based selling.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams without authority
Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and engage stakeholders in a matrix organization

The Federal Account Manager will provide a dedicated focus within the federal segment (Veterans Affairs Medical Centers, Military Treatment Facilities, and Indian Health Medical Centers) and will provided a dedicated focus on increasing and/or expanding access to GSK’s growing portfolio of medications and services. This role involves developing, managing, and growing key customer relationships by orchestrating the deployment of organizational resources to provide comprehensive products and service solutions to accounts that will deliver greater customer value and accelerate appropriate growth in sales of GSK products.
