Responsibilities:
• Support distributed computing environment software engineering processes
• Maintaining / Developing system level automation scripts
• Manage and troubleshoot physical and virtual Linux / Windows servers
• Perform hardware installation, setup, troubleshooting, server builds, configuration, and remote management
• Performance monitoring, system fine-tuning, and troubleshooting
• Testing templates / functionality testing
Skills:
• 5+ years of Windows / Linux System Administration; Administrator in an enterprise environment
• Strong knowledge of Windows Server versions including Windows Server 2003 and Windows Server 2008
• Demonstrated experience in Linux systems supporting and administering various flavors of Linux including Debian, CentOS, and Ubuntu
• Automation programming and/or scripting with Bash and/or Perl; VB script and/or Windows Power shell
• Previous experience in a managed hosting environment a plus
• Experienced with monitoring, security, and networking (TCP/IP) concepts
• Virtualization experience (Xen or Applogic) is a plus
• MCSE and / or Linux Certifications a plus
• Ability to work with limited supervision, be a self-starter, and able to work closely with others
• Strong problem solving/troubleshooting skills
