Under the direction of Executive Director of the Project Management Office, the Project Coordinator (PC) is responsible for assisting in the management of projects, through the usage of Project Management Office (PMO) developed processes, templates and tools. The PC will work with other project managers to meet customer requirements, including goals of cost management, on-time and on-budget project completion, and increased efficiency and effectiveness.

Scope and Complexity: The PC will successfully apply their experience in support of projects across a multi-site healthcare environment. Through collaboration with project managers and team members, the PC will support high-impact projects through their entire lifecycle; communicate project roles/responsibilities; identify requirements, and make recommendations for projects.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Aids in projects being delivered on-time, on-budget and as specified, through team collaboration, effective communications, and proactive management of risks & issues; Facilitates project teams to efficiently and effectively complete activities; Uses Project Management methodology and tools, such as charters, work breakdown schedules, communication plans, status reports, meeting minutes, etc; Assists in overall project scheduling, scope and cost management with assistance from project team members; Conducts meetings to achieve objectives and delivers associated meeting documentation; Conveys project management deliverables and status reporting for all assigned projects, with the responsibility to update relevant information in the PMO repository.

Skills and Experience: BA/BS degree(s) in business or a related technical, business, or healthcare discipline; 2 years or more of professional experience preferred; Project management experience preferred; Excellent organization, verbal, written and presentation skills to explain project goals and inspire support; Extensive use of Microsoft office and project planning tools (MS-Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, SharePoint;) Knowledge of healthcare terminology and/or healthcare experience preferred; This position is based on St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands, and requires a minimum of 25% travel to mainland USA locations in support of the client.
