Instructor - Reservations Training US Airways -
Winston-Salem, NC
POSITION PURPOSE:
Under general direction, coordinates, develops, and delivers company-mandated training programs for Reservations personnel.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conducts company- and DOT-mandated training programs
Supervises new-hire Reservations agents while in Initial Training (including performance assessment/management, counseling/coaching, employee development)
Supervises Reservations Training Facilitators (including performance assessment/management, counseling/coaching, employee development)
Performs needs analysis and designs/develops training curriculum/materials to meet corporate objectives
Supports and participates in special projects/programs as requested by internal customers (i.e., Reservations, Vacations, Process Planning, Staffing Resources, etc.)
Qualifications:
At least 1 year Airline Reservations experience
In-depth knowledge of and proficiency in all aspects of Reservations Operations
Proficient in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
Demonstrated effective presentation skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively with employees from all areas and levels
Ability to create and develop effective training curriculum/materials
Effective planning, organization, and time management skills
Ability to work days/evenings/weekends
Motivated self-starter with proven leadership and supervisory skills
