Position Summary The purpose of the Director of Risk Management position is to have a broad grasp of the Risk Management function. This person should be a forward thinker, capable of developing and maintaining the organization's Risk Management program, policies and approach to risk management: strategically helping to drive continuous improvement. Primary responsibility will be the management and resolution of claims; working in concert with other Risk Management Department team members and other Company departments, to manage the worldwide corporate property insurance program. Assisting in the development of insurance specifications and placement of appropriate insurance cover to mitigate risk and provide solutions to everyday challenges faced by the group. Principal Accountabilities Responsible for managing the organization's insurance risk as it relates to insurance coverage including, but not limited to, Workers' Compensation, auto (fleet) liability, property liability and product liability on a global basis. Will establish the strategy around risk mitigation, including insurance coverage and other risk mitigation programs (i.e.., annual property replacement valuation analysis, disaster recovery/BCP). Will provide information to and facilitate quarterly Risk reviews with identified stakeholders, resulting in establishing required financial reserves. Responsible for contract negotiation and vendor management. Manage and resolve general liability claims. Manage and resolve property and financial claims. Manage property risks worldwide. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance 12+ years of related experience in Risk Management Associate in Risk Management ("ARM") designation preferred Skills/Competencies: Unquestionable integrity, objectivity and independence Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and effectively manage through complex issues and relationships Highly motivated, positive attitude, self directed and assertive Strong negotiating and interpersonal skills Good analytical and problem solving skills
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or Finance 12+ years of related experience in Risk Management Associate in Risk Management ("ARM") designation preferred
