Required Qualification
Education & Experience:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, Associate degree in nursing.A level of knowledge equivalent to that ordinarily acquired through the attainment of a degree as noted above. Current 12 months experience within last 18 months in a medical/surgical setting.
Licensure/Certification:
Current RN license by the Kansas State Board of Nursing.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association.
Successful completion of the Basic EKG course (if previous experience in EKG rhythm recognition, may validate competency through completion of the course test).
Special Skills/Aptitudes:
Basic computer skills.
Assessment & judgment skills necessary to assess a patient’s condition and to utilize the nursing process in planning and providing comprehensive care to patients and evaluating the effectiveness of nursing interventions. Exceptional customer service skills to meet and, whenever possible, exceed patient & family needs and expectations. Exceptional communication skills.
