Performance of custodial and maintenance duties; participate in the provision of a variety of maintenance and custodial services.
Examples of Duties:
Perform custodial and maintenance duties.
Inspect custodial equipment to ensure proper functioning.
Sweep, vacuum, mop, wax, strip, and polish floors using a variety of chemicals, cleansers, and equipment.
Clean and sanitize restroom facilities and fixtures.
Move and arrange furniture and equipment.
Dust and polish furniture, wood work, fixtures, and equipment; wash windows, mirrors, walls, and ceilings.
Participate in snow removal.
Set up of staging, chairs, pipe and drape, dasher boards and turf, and other miscellaneous equipment. Set up for sporting events.
Ability to operate and use a variety of equipment.
Knowledge of the use and care of cleaning materials.
Knowledge of safe work practices.
Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.
Follow city safety procedures.
Education and Experience : Formal or informal education or training which insures the ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
