The LPN is responsible for supporting the VAD Coordinators in the outpatient clinic setting caring for patients with end stage heart failure supported with a Mechanical Circulatory Device. As a member of this specialized team, the LPN will be responsible for ensuring that all patients receive high quality, efficient care and achieve optimal outcomes. He/She will be responsible for collaboration with the physician to ensure appropriate and safe anticoagulation therapy dosing and telephonic management of anticoagulation therapy.
*A registered LPN with a minimum of 3 years experience working with in a Cardiac Setting.
*Must be knowledgable of Coumadin ranges and INR goals. Experience in a Coumadin Clinic preferred.
* Demonstrates proficiency in performing lab draws/procedures/treatments according to established procedures.
